TRAINING OF A CHIROPRACTOR

Hombro/Cadera/Ingle

The training of a chiropractor is university, varying between 5 and 7 years depending on the country in which it is studied. Higher studies are considered, equivalent to a bachelor's degree, and it is full-time face-to-face, with no possibility of doing it remotely or in a blended regimen.

To ensure the quality of the teaching of the institutions that offer chiropractic studies and guarantee that the contents of said training are adequate, there are international institutions that supervise the contents during the years of training (theoretical and practical), the facilities of the university for the correct development of chiropractic training, the training of the teaching staff who will teach the subjects and the curricula in general, establishing the educational standards that every chiropractor has and maintaining high levels of demand.

In Europe we have the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE), which is periodically in charge of supervising the institutions that provide chiropractic training, demanding certain requirements to guarantee the quality of the training, which if they are not fulfilled, they would lose the accreditation of an approved institution and the recognition of the degrees issued.

The Madrid College of Chiropractic (MCC) was the first in Spain to obtain accreditation by the ECCE (2007).
